What is a smart app?
A smart app is your check-in details, house manual and local recommendations in one mobile link guests open from their phone. Instead of a static page it reads the time of day, the live weather and what is open now, and leads with what each guest needs. No app to download and no printed binder, just a branded web guide with a map, your insider picks, instant AI answers and a WhatsApp or call button for anything else.
How does a smart app work?
You build the guide once, then share a link or QR code. Guests scan it on arrival, or get it the moment they book, and have everything for the stay in their pocket. Update it any time and every guest instantly sees the latest version.
How long does it take to set up a guide?
Most hosts have a guide live in under 10 minutes. You start from a template, drop in your Wi-Fi, check-in and house details, and the editor pulls in a map and local recommendations you can tweak. A collection or a bigger property takes a little longer, and if you would rather not build it yourself we can do the initial guides for you.
Do I really need a smart app?
Guests increasingly expect one, and it pays off both ways. Answers on tap mean fewer repeat questions and less time on your phone, while a smooth, well-branded stay earns more 5-star reviews, repeat bookings and word-of-mouth referrals. It also lets you surface paid extras and local tips that lift the value of each booking.
How does pricing work?
Every account starts with a 14-day free trial of the full Pro feature set, no card needed. After that, Hosts & Operators is self-serve and billed per key with a volume break as you grow. Boutique Hotels & Collections is self-serve too, a flat $150/mo per property with unlimited rooms and the hotel features. If you would rather not build it yourself, we can build your initial guides for a one-time $1,000.
What's in the free trial?
Almost everything on Hosts & Operators for 14 days: your branded guide with recommendations and a map, custom fonts, Ask AI, guest requests and usage insights. No card to start. The immersive, weather-aware guide mode comes with a paid plan.
What happens after the trial?
Your published guide stays live for guests - links and QR codes keep working - so nothing breaks. To edit it, publish changes or add more guides, subscribe to Hosts & Operators for $7.50/mo per key. Until then your account is read-only.
Is there any lock-in?
No. The 14-day trial needs no card, and Hosts & Operators is billed monthly with no contract. Add or remove keys whenever you like, and cancel any time.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from your account in a couple of clicks, with no cancellation fee. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for, then the account goes read-only while your published guides stay live for guests.
What counts as a property?
One guide with its own link and QR code. One property is one guide.
Can I add or remove properties later?
Any time, on Hosts & Operators. Your monthly bill adjusts to how many you run, automatically.
Do you build the guides for hotels?
Only if you want us to. Boutique Hotels & Collections is self-serve, so most teams build it themselves in the editor. If you would rather hand it over, we build your initial guides - directories, insider recommendations, your brand and the guest access points - for a one-time $1,000.
How do room orders and paid extras work?
By default everything routes through WhatsApp: the guide sends you a ready-made message with exactly what the guest wants, and you confirm and bill it the way you already do, usually to the room. Prefer card? Connect Stripe and guests can pay by card for room service, extras, experiences and tips, straight to your account (guidely takes no cut). You can also add your own payment link per extra. Either way there is no POS or new system to run.
Do my guests pay anything?
No. The guide is a no-download web app, free for guests to open, with no account.
